WEB Remote Access to Plant Information. CLH.

This application provides users an access to historics and real time information from 32 plants distributed around Spain just using the WEB navigator.

Developing this application we have used the most advanced technologies:

  • ORACLE database
  • ASP pages
  • IIS 5.0
  • VBScript and JavaScript
  • ADO, Etc.

Due to VIP (Ventana de Información de Plantas)(Plant Infomation Window) divers company's area managers may have a direct access to the installations' information without middlemen.

That provides a great flexibility during the decision-making and increases the obteined information reliability.
Users accede to the application information from their Internet Navigator. That facilitates the application's use and prevents from the free software distribution.

Depending on his access level, each user has restricted entry to the aplication. That gives a guarantee of the information's confidentialy. All of this is possible because the entire application has been made over a security layer.

The main system is permanently connected (by TCP/IP connection) to the installation's control system. Real-time information is obtained from it to be showed to the users or to be filed in the historics-data server.

Soliciting historics-information, the system accedes to the central database.

This database is built by the same application through a configurable system which compiles plants' information.

Information is shown in differents formats:

  • Data planks
  • Line grafics
  • Sliders
  • "cakes or pies"
  • The most suitable for each kind of information.
Each time, for specific procedures, users can download the information to his own computer.

If the information's request are real-time information, the application will accede, depending on the contingency, to plant's database or to the own objets of the plant's control system.

In these cases, the data can be showed in the above exposed formats or in real-time animated synoptics, where users can see the plant information as it's going at the plant. Also make an animated synoptic with various plants consolidated information is possible. The alarm's subsystem permits to the designed users to get e-mails with specific alarm messages which are produced in the plant and are highlight.

The rest of alarms and events are accessible by an historic analysis of them.
